G & C Raw, a raw pet food manufacturer based in Versailles, Ohio, has recalled an additional 29 pet food products for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Products manufactured between Feb. 27 and July 20, 2018 have been recalled for potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). G & C Raw previously recalled 70 products in August 2018 but is now expanding the recall as a precaution. No confirmed illnesses have been reported.

Recalled products were delivered directly to consumers under brand names G & C Raw and G & C Raw Cat food in Ohio, Minnesota, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and Illinois. G & C Raw and the FDA encourage consumers in these states to check the lot number on their G & C Raw pet food and return products with lot numbers ending in 022718 through 072018 to G & C Raw for a full refund.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes can cause critical infections in animals if ingested and poses a risk to humans handling the food.
