OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Nigel King has joined Ziwi in the newly-formed role of general manager of global marketing. The company also announced that Rose Casesi has been promoted to senior territory manager — Northeastern US.

As general manager of global marketing, King will lead the marketing team and manage Ziwi’s marketing strategy and initiatives throughout the global marketplace. He will be based in the company’s Auckland, New Zealand office.

Nigel comes to Ziwi from Heinz Wattie’s New Zealand, where he served as group marketing manager for pet food and infant nutrition. He also is a board member of the New Zealand Pet Food Manufacturers Association.

Casesi joined Ziwi in October of 2017 as the Northeast US territory manager and has successfully grown sales in this market as well as the Southeastern US region. In her new role, Casesi will assist the VP of sales in the management & training of Ziwi distributors and will take on additional key account management and planning responsibilities. She will also provide training and mentoring to selected market managers.

Casesi’s previous experience in retail sales for TailsSpin Pets and outside sales for Nature’s Logic has helped her excel in her role at Ziwi.

Ziwi was founded in 2004 on the philosophy of a whole prey, high meat diet, and has established itself as an innovator in air-dried pet nutrition. Ziwi’s portfolio of air-dried and canned dog and cat foods and oral chews are crafted in New Zealand and exported to over 20 countries around the world.
