ELGIN, Ill. – Middleby Food Processing and Packaging has named Dieter Zopf as its new vice president – Sales for its Middleby Pet Food Processing division. Zopf will be responsible for leading global sales and project management for the pet food division.

“Dieter’s wealth of food technology knowledge will enhance our presence in this rapidly growing market,” said Mark Salman, president of the Middleby Food Processing and Packaging Group.  “His results-oriented approach will complement existing Middleby brand sales efforts and cultivate account initiatives in this segment.  We welcome him and know his expertise will be valuable to our customers.”

Zopf comes to Middleby with decades of leadership experience in all aspects of pet food, including research and development, quality, food safety and engineering. 

Zopf has a Studies of Food Technology Degree in Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin and is fluent in German, English, French and Italian.
